In this role, you will be integral to the development and enhancement of our core mobile products. You will work closely with product owners and team leaders to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications that meet the needs of our users.Your way to impact:This role has opened up due to the launch of a new product within our peer-to-peer goods and services domain. The new product aims to enhance the functionality and user experience for micro businesses, helping them to better connect, trade, and grow within their communities. The Senior Android Engineer will play a critical role in leading the development efforts and ensuring the successful delivery of this innovative product.Your day to day:Design and Development:

Lead the design and development of advanced applications for the Android platform. Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Problem Solving:

Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.User Experience:

Work with designers to implement polished, user-friendly interfaces that delight our users.Integration:

Integrate with back-end services and third-party APIs. Ensure seamless integration of new features and functionalities.Testing and Deployment:

Implement robust unit tests, UI tests, and automation frameworks to ensure high-quality code and continuous delivery.Documentation:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of the codebase, ensuring ease of future maintenance and knowledge sharing within the team.What you need to bring:Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of released applications on the Google Play Store.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.Knowledge of UI/UX standards and best practices.Experience with Jetpack Compose: Familiarity with the latest Android frameworks and tools.Tools and Technologies: Experience with Android Studio, Git, and other Android development tools.Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding and fixing issues.Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and other engineers.Innovation: Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest Android trends, techniques, and technologies.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines: Experience setting up continuous integration and continuous deployment for Android applications.Additional Job Description:Subsidiary:
