Depending on your location, this role may be hybrid or remote.HYBRID - If you reside within 50 miles of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL this role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu), with the rest of the workweek spent working from home.Job DescriptionOpportunity at a GlanceThe Sr Director of Classroom Experience & Innovation is responsible for providing oversight of all media technologies (including their integration into the online classroom), as well as all video- and multimedia production (across verticals) to support the delivery of quality online learning experiences. This person is also responsible for coordinating efforts across the classroom experience innovation portfolio, integrating course authoring tools within the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content Management System (LCMS) ecosystem, and implementing other ed tech classroom solutions to support student learning and success across Adtalem institutions.ResponsibilitiesEnsures a high-quality student experience associated with the integration of media within the online classroom, including oversight of all media technologies.Manages Adtalem Global Education's video- and multimedia production process and staff (Director of Media Production, Media Producers, Associate Media Producers) across verticals to support high-quality media assets that improve student engagement, learning, and retention.Leads, strategizes, plans, and executes on innovative solutions related to the digital classroom to improve teaching, learning, and retention across Adtalem institutions, including classroom design enhancements, media modernization, and select third-party technology solutions.Envisions the next generation of digital classroom experience, including innovative learning models, platform technologies, and enhanced student engagement.Aligns digital product strategies, products, and solutions to Adtalem Global Education's strategic and operational business objectives while building capacity for high-quality, innovative product development and deployment.Provides oversight of the Annual and Quarterly Classroom Experience Innovation Agenda, focusing on piloting, evaluating, extending, and scaling the most promising classroom experience innovations.Establishes and maintains strong vendor relationships vital to the successful integration of technological innovations in the digital classroom.Completes other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in relevant field. Required.Minimum of 10 years of experience in media production, including demonstrated expertise in the integration of media technologies in digital classroom environments. Required.Experience working with product development, technology, and academic teams in a matrixed role. Required.Extensive knowledge of and experience with educational technology processes and practices.Advanced knowledge of digital product innovation principles, practices, methods, and terminology.In-depth understanding of the higher education industry and the digital student experience to support making educated recommendations to senior leadership on the direction, profitability, and ROI of new and emerging innovations.Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and lead a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse remote workforce.Highly skilled communicator and collaborator, able to handle criticism, resolve conflicts, negotiate agreements, conduct and facilitate effective results-oriented meetings, and deliver effective presentations.Committed to people development, rewarding actions and behaviors that contribute to results, providing opportunities for developing internal team talent including sharing of best practices, knowledge-sharing, and cross-training to develop and retain achievement-oriented team members and improve bench strength.Competencies Required:Servant LeadershipInfluencing & CollaboratingEmotional IntelligenceProject ManagementProblem Solving & AnalysisAdditional InformationIn support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $137,846.78 and $241,870.90. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
