Opportunity at a GlanceThe Senior Director, Implementation and Improvement provides senior-level oversight of two key areas of responsibility within Adtalem's Product Development and Classroom Design team: curriculum implementation and continuous improvement. The Senior Director will serve as thought leader in each of these areas, responsible for developing and implementing necessary strategies, tactics, and operational plans as needed to ensure the success of the 1000+ digital learning solutions (including courses, competencies, and non-credit experiences) developed annually across the Adtalem portfolio of institutions. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Implementation and Improvement are the day-to-day leaders of four departments: Project/Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Curriculum Implementation, and Continuous Improvement. The Senior Director is responsible for leading the development of product quality assurance plans and processes for all digital content development and deployment throughout all phases of the product life cycle. The Senior Director also serves as the key contact with executives and senior leaders at partner institutions to ensure the establishment, dissemination, implementation, and evaluation of product quality and performance standards aligned with partner mission and expectations. As the leader of a highly collaborative team, the Senior Director provides active management and evaluation of performance against expected metrics and KPIs. The Senior Director is responsible for improving product design and development performance, which requires optimization and management of product development and deployment processes.ResponsibilitiesServe as a thought leader in curriculum implementation and continuous improvement.Develop and implement strategies, tactics, and operational plans to ensure the success of Adtalem's digital learning solutions across the Adtalem portfolio of institutions.Lead the development of product quality assurance plans and processes for all digital content development and deployment throughout all phases of the product life cycle.Serve as the key contact with executives and senior leaders at partner institutions to ensure the establishment, dissemination, implementation, and evaluation of product quality and performance standards aligned with partner mission and expectations.Identify and implement efficiencies in the product development and deployment process by monitoring, measuring, executing, designing, and evaluating business processes.Deliver strategic business and product reviews, including the creation of metrics that measure program quality and partner satisfaction.Provide leadership in the writing, revision, and verification of development and deployment processes, quality standards, and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ensure high-quality products.Provide oversight and evaluation of the quality of work being performed by external vendors and independent contractors.Establish evaluation criteria and metrics to ensure product quality across all digital products.Validate that product quality documents appropriately outline the overall objectives of the curricula and allow for student acquisition of content.Model and coach healthy behavior and positive leadership, encouraging collaborative problem solving and inspiring innovation across the Product Development and Classroom Design team.Oversee special projects as assigned.This position is responsible for leading a group of professionals who oversee the four main departments within the implementation and improvement team: Project/Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Curriculum Implementation, and Continuous Improvement.Additionally, the Senior Director will ensure that vendors and independent contractors are hired in sufficient quantities to meet course development and improvement demand, and that vendor/contractor performance against product standards is evaluated to ensure all products are delivered on time and meet quality expectations.Perform other duties as assigned.Comply with all policies and standards.QualificationsMaster's Degree RequiredPhD Preferred10+ years in product implementation and business process improvement required5-10% travel requirementBe a highly skilled communicator and collaborator, able to handle criticism, resolve conflicts, negotiate agreements, run and facilitate effective results-oriented meetings, give effective presentations, and conduct interviews.Be a highly skilled leader, able to build strong cohesive teams that take ownership of mitigating risks, reduce barriers, and create workable solutions.Be a healthy leader who holds self and team members accountable for healthy and respectful behaviors and actions, monitoring to ensure the team is setting the example in leading healthy communications and collaborations internally and externally.Be committed to people development, rewarding actions and behaviors that contribute to results, providing opportunities for developing internal team talent including sharing of best practices, knowledge-sharing, and cross-training to develop and retain achievement-oriented team members and improve bench strength.Be committed to results and demonstrate accountability in all areas of responsibility.Additional InformationIn support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $137,846.78 and $241,870.90. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
