MED-ZSFG-NEPHPart Time80290BRJob SummaryWe are looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator who is passionate about addressing health disparities and improving the quality of care for diverse patients with chronic diseases. The ideal candidate will function as a member of a multidisciplinary research team. Experience working in care settings serving low-income, racially ethnically diverse, and lower health literacy patient populations is desired. This role requires a high level of comfort and skill in communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders in the public health setting. This role will be performed independently or with general direction by the Project Coordinator and/or Principal Investigators (PI) to execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols and coordinate the data collection and operations of several concurrent clinical research studies under the guidelines of research protocols, UCSF and regulating agency policies.Incumbent's duties may include, but will not be limited to, supporting the management, and coordinating the tasks of multiple clinical research studies. Work will include screening, recruiting, and consenting patient participants for study visits; scheduling and facilitating study visits; coordinating participant compensation; medical record data abstraction; administering surveys to participants; simple data analysis of survey results; participating in the review and writing of protocols and regulatory documents (IRB); participation in study team and stakeholder group meetings; and other duties as assigned. Travel to kidney clinics in San Francisco several days a week may be needed.Salary and BenefitsThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. UCSF Compensation and BenefitsDepartment DescriptionThe Nephrology Division spans multiple campuses with faculty and staff located at the UCSF Parnassus, Laurel Heights, San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC), and Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG). The Nephrology Division consists of over 100 faculty, fellows, and staff whose work is grounded in deep commitment to, and respect for patients with kidney disease. The Division has approximately 40 faculty members, 15 admin and research staff, 16 fellows, and an annual budget of $11.1 million. For over 50 years, the Nephrology Division has employed and trained leaders in academic nephrology, superb clinical research scientists and basic scientists, and outstanding clinical nephrologists. Our faculty are leading experts in adult nephrology: including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and kidney transplantation.
