$16.06 - $24.71 per hour (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITIONThe Maintenance Specialist 1 acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. They perform a range of maintenance duties in the building and plant, supporting the facility team on projects including mechanical, hydraulic, electric, and electronic devices. These assignments are under close supervision of the facility's supervisor/manager and normally receive detailed instructions on all work. The Maintenance Specialist 1 works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and has little or no role in decision-making. They may work with outside vendors and will be closely involved in P5S activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReports directly to Maintenance Supervisor, may take direction from production management and/or Maintenance mechanic.Troubleshoots all process and facilities related equipment regarding electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.Assists with all monthly maintenance for all production and facilities equipment when requested.Maintains all office and administrative maintenance requests in SAP and Outlook.Performs 5S activities as required daily, weekly, and monthly.Works in cooperation with other Managers, Engineers, and departmental supervisors on ensuring all equipment is maintained and operational.Reports any safety problem immediately.Willingness and openness to learn new tasks.Willing to work on a variety of machines or lines.All other duties as assigned.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.
