It works to eliminate failed Customer, Developer, Partner and Agent interactions and fosters a culture of learning and rapid solutioning when outages occur.As a key member of the Development Platform and Infrastructure Leadership team, this Vice President will drive resiliency best practice across Expedia Group (EG). You will lead the site resiliency engineering teams and provide NOC services, including incident management & problem management across DC/Cloud domains.What you’ll do:Be accountable for resiliency and stability of Expedia Group services, working in partnership with all EG divisions.Design and establish EG resiliency strategy, including reliability engineering methodologies to be applied by all EG engineering teams.Lead incident and problem management efforts across DC and Cloud domains, including root cause analysis and remediation.Conduct targeted chaos engineering and testing exercises (resiliency, performance) to validate our resiliency capabilities and plan for contingencies with the early involvement of others.Through data analysis, AI/ML methods, develop and execute a strategy that will use correlated data to develop engineered solutions to avoid incidents and events from occurring within the EG platform and employee environments.Build and lead an engaged and inspired global organization of top talent (300+ people) which drives innovation, creating a culture that translates strategies into specific goals and action plans.Who you are:A strategic, technical leader, experienced leading a large global team of (100+), activated in multi-quarter projects involving 30+ engineers and regularly contributing to the internal and external technology community.Advocates for new technology choices to senior leadership and makes choices across businesses to apply many different technologies and languages.Strategically chooses the set of technologies and defines principles to ensure design of software that is easily testable and observable.An expert for multiple domains across EG and has designed highly complex platforms and systems and their interactions across a matrix organization.Champions product thinking and provides technical leadership and mentors and coaches others, at all levels.About Expedia GroupExpedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) powers travel for everyone, everywhere through our global platform.
