Perplexity is looking for an experienced Front End Engineer to join our small team revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. You will be responsible for building UI for the future of how people ask questions and find information.
Our frontend stack is NextJS and TypeScript. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, an interest in search and large language models, and a passion for delivering blazing fast web experiences backed by the latest frontend technologies.
Responsibilities
Developing new user interfaces for Perplexity's evolving technologies.Maintaining and improving existing user interfaces for current products.Creating reusable component libraries that drive Perplexity's front-end.Leading decisions on tool usage and coding best practices.Qualifications
Strong experience with NextJS.Proven skills in optimizing NextJS projects for peak performance.Familiarity with porting codebases to the latest framework features, such as RSC and streaming.Passion for writing reusable code.Thrives in a small, agile team and is willing to take ownership.Meticulous attention to detail.Nice-to-have

Be part of this exciting journey to reshape the future of search and technology.Our cash compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents.
