As Staff Accountant, Here's What You'll Do:The Staff Accountant is a key member of the company’s accounting and finance team. The incumbent is required to assist the Union accounting team where required and is responsible for the effective execution and control of designated facets of the accounting function. Key responsibilities include general accounting, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, account analysis/reconciliations, and ad hoc projects.

Perform month-end activities including general ledger account analysis and reconciliation dutiesCollaborate on the preparation of interest expense variance analysis reportPrepare weekly collections report for managers that summarize customer payment status to present to the executive management teamAssist with collection activities including identifying past due receivables and communicating with customers to resolve and collect open balances.Assist our billing line-call center to resolve customer questionsServe as backup for treasury functions including cash application and ETF paymentSupport our Accounts Payable team including processing credit card payments for maintenance vendorsAssist with our annual external auditsParticipate in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the new asset management systemAssist in identifying opportunities in the accounting systems to streamline processes.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (License & Title, Maintenance, Client Services, and Purchasing), fostering a cohesive and productive working environmentSpecial projects as assigned

Here's What it Will Take to be Successful in This Role:Bachelor's degree in Accounting/FinanceExperience working in a large-scale ERP environment, preferably Intacct1-3 years of related experienceKnowledge of GAAPKeen attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to communicate concisely, but also analyze data as neededOrganized and dependableAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgencyAbility to learn new concepts quicklyAbility to multi-taskAbility to effectively work in a team environment

Physical DemandsThis job operates in a professional environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, filing cabinets, printers, and fax machines.

Working ConditionsThis position will be based out of our office in Oak Brook, Illinois. Until the Company moves to Oak Brook in early 2026, this will temporarily work out of the office in Schaumburg, Illinois. This role also offers remote work flexibility with 3 days in office, and 2 days remote.
