Hitachi Digital Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented L1 Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure Support team. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in managing and supporting IT infrastructure, including VMWare, Windows server administration, vulnerability management, and patching management. Familiarity with ServiceNow Management and automation scripting is essential. Experience in network security and load balancer management is a plus.The role

Provide first-level IT infrastructure support to ensure system availability and reliability.Assist in administering and managing VMWare environments, including basic installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.Support Windows server administration, including system setup, configuration, and initial troubleshooting.Assist in managing vulnerabilities and patching, ensuring systems are secure and up-to-date.Utilize ServiceNow for basic incident management, change management, and service request fulfillment.Develop and maintain simple automation scripts to streamline IT operations and improve efficiency.Assist in ensuring network security, including basic management of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.Support load balancer management to ensure optimal distribution of network traffic.Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams to integrate ServiceNow and other tools into the IT infrastructure.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to support continuous improvement of IT infrastructure.What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Infrastructure support, including VMWare, Windows server administration, vulnerabilities management, and patching management.Basic proficiency in ServiceNow Management.Hands-on experience with automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).Understanding of network security principles and practices.Familiarity with load balancer management.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Good communication and collaboration skills.Experience in ServiceNow integration is a plus.Must be a US Citizen.Must have a Public Trust clearance or be able to obtain one.Preferred Skills:

Certifications in VMWare, Windows Server, or relevant IT infrastructure areas.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.About us
