Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide manufacturing support for operations and planners in the machine shop.Communicate with counterparts on other shifts.Know how to operate and set up CNC Mills and Lathes.Oversee programming activities of upcoming products.Responsible for maintenance of the fabrication systems. Coordinate troubleshooting activities with maintenance and suppliers to resolve issues with mechanized processes.Support and maintain data collection for troubleshooting, keeping an accurate day-to-day maintenance log of systems.Oversee training of techs and operators across all shifts.Provide cross-functional support to other Polaris plants as needed.Design and implement programs and tests for all fabrication machines.Assist supervisors in monitoring quality of equipment.Lead quality improvement projects within machining to analyze and interpret the best course of action for improvement.Troubleshoot any machine variances to maintain product quality.Maintain OSHA compliance and corporate safety standards within the department and company.Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating SOPs and other process-related activities.Understand and implement “Time Studies” regarding machine cycle time and cell flow.Work with Manufacturing Engineers, technicians, and operators to identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.Assist manufacturing engineering with the development of new projects.Work with the manufacturing team to update detail CAD layouts for equipment and workstation design.Skills & Knowledge:Prefer individuals with experience programming CNC Mills and Lathes.Knowledge of measuring equipment and interpretation of technical drawings.Knowledge in CNC bending machines, laser cutting, and tube forming processes.Knowledge in the metal mechanical field.Experience utilizing Windows environment (PC).Proactive with the ability to work flexible schedules if necessary.Associate's degree in a technical field with a minimum of two years of programming experience preferred.Knowledge of 2D / 3D design software (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Knowledge of CAD/CAM packages (ArTube, VGP, Mastercam, SurfCAM, etc.).Working Conditions:Typical manufacturing and office environment conditions.We are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE.
