Information Technology GroupTransocean is focused on being the employer of choice for the drilling industry.We are challenging ourselves every day to push the performance of the company through technological advances and passion for our work.Job SummaryThe IT Infrastructure & Network Sr Manager is responsible for the design of networks, architectures and processes for a world-wide deployment of data centers and cloud-based services that are aligned with business objectives and ensure high availability and high performing systems to a world-wide user base. This person will manage a team of highly technical IT engineers and consultants and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure system reliability and scalability of the organization's IT network and infrastructure.Job DescriptionKey Roles & Responsibilities:Design, implement and manage network, data center and data center services world-wide including corporate, field office, rig environments and cloud.

Manage a team of highly technical staff and consultants, maintaining standards for implementation, support and communication to ensure continuity of high-quality services.

Stay abreast of changing hardware, software and cloud trends. Maintain understanding of cloud hardware/software delivery and cost models.

Engage with application teams and business users to stay aligned with organizational and project needs and deliver service ensuring initiatives stay on time and on-budget.

Develop processes and procedures to ensure high availability and high performance of IT services for a global organization.

Manage network, hardware and software life cycles end-to-end, including technology evaluation & product selection, procurement, service delivery and refresh cycles.

Operate within regulatory and organizational audit compliance guidelines and coordinate with internal and external audit groups multiple times per year.

Manage vendor relationships, optimize support, licenses, maintenance and subscription agreements.

Develop service management support processes for network and data center delivered services in coordination with support team and manage 3rd tier escalations.

Plan and coordinate off-hours network and data center management activities.

EducationMinimum Required - Industry Certifications, including Microsoft products and cloud design, ITILExperienceMinimum Required - 10+ years technical; 6+ years infrastructure or network managementSkillsMinimum Required - 6-8 years as an Infrastructure or network engineer and at least 5 years as an Infrastructure or network Manager. Strong understanding of hardware, network and storage technologies; Demonstrated experience with data center management, including power, cooling, and connectivity; Strong understanding of networking and communications. Managed teams of 6+; Managed projects of $2m+; Experience with cloud migrations, cloud systems management and operating hybrid cloud data centers; Strong understanding of ITIL process and Service Management systems.If you want to push yourself to great achievement, let Transocean develop your career.
