This includes strategic messaging for a variety of purposes, including executive communications, long-form articles, speeches, scripts, newsletter articles, emails, social media posts, and more. This position requires outstanding writing skills, strong interpersonal communications skills, experience navigating a corporate environment and interfacing with executives, and the ability to consistently deliver quality written material in a variety of styles on tight deadlines. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and backfilling for the Communications Manager as needed.Job DescriptionKey Roles & Responsibilities:Start-to-finish written content creation, including ideation, determining the appropriate channel, scheduling and conducting interviews, content generation and approvals, and posting or coordinating with the appropriate party to do so. Bring an original, creative and fresh perspective to communicating to our employees, customers, and other stakeholders with a specific emphasis on managing executive messaging and thought leadership both internally and externally.Develop and execute a plan for executive thought leadership on both internal and external channels, including posts on LinkedIn and the company’s internal communications platform, and regular company town halls.In partnership with the Senior Content Creator and Senior Communications Specialist, build relationships across the organization and identify storytelling opportunities that align with company goals, values, and initiatives.Steward the “Transocean voice” throughout all projects and adapt the tone to fit the messaging’s intent and channel.Deliver polished and effective communications up and down the organization.Contribute and make recommendations to an ongoing editorial calendar for company communications channels.Stay abreast of Company developments as well as key energy industry trends and drivers.EducationMinimum Required - Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English or related field.ExperienceMinimum Required - 10 years in relevant/related field.SkillsMinimum Required - Writing, Storytelling, Journalism, Collaboration in a Corporate Environment – Advanced; Written/Oral/Presentation Skills, Research and Reporting, Leadership in a corporate environment – Intermediate; social media monitoring - Intermediate.Pre-Requisite/QualificationMust successfully complete pre-employment drug screen.Must successfully complete pre-employment background check.If you want to push yourself to great achievement, let Transocean develop your career.
