Marine Systems is seeking a

Senior Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 4)

to join our team in

Sunnyvale, CA.

This role is primarily focused on material and supplier management, with responsibilities ranging from budgets to supplier management. You will manage supply chain activities from development to production, tracking and forecasting material and labor budgets. This includes regular forecasting on program material expenditure, labor, and overall schedule performance using Earned Value Management. As a Supply Chain Planner, you will work with cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers execute in alignment with program schedules, engineering requirements, and material budgets. This role is for the Virginia Turbine Generator Program.

Roles And Responsibilities

Ensuring consistent Material Finance reporting on program material.

Forecasting material costs in collaboration with other planners, engineers, and program representatives.

Creating a material baseline and working with Business Management to meet monthly Earned Value requirements, variance reporting, and root cause corrective actions.

Providing Monthly Current Material Estimates at completions (CME's).

Forecasting monthly material receipts.

Analyzing and aggregating supply/demand requirements.

Assessing supply resources; aggregating and prioritizing demand requirements; planning inventory, distribution requirements, production, material, and rough-cut capacity for all products.

Participating in make/buy processes, long-term capacity and resource planning, product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line management.

Using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools to analyze purchase material supply/demand positions.

Planning inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.

Creating/reducing supply requirements based on inventory adjustments.

Communicating with suppliers regarding lead times and delivery times, actively resolving issues.

Receiving/reviewing requirements for non-standard parts.

Analyzing lead times and identifying critical path procurements.

Forecasting material receipt.

Basic qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of supply chain and/or business management or a Master’s Degree and 8+ years of supply chain and/or business management.

Proficient with Microsoft Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.

Proficient in the use of SAP.

Demonstrated success in managing complex problems related to program execution.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Financial background.

Experience with Program Management Teams.

Knowledge of Earned Value Management, Return To Greens, Forecasting, and Variance Analysis.

The ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is preferred.

Salary Range:

$109,900 - $164,900
