This position offers an opportunity to play a significant role within Commercial IT’s Energy Trading & Risk Management product line by enhancing and optimizing Commercial Risk software solutions. This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining high-quality technical solutions aligned with software engineering and security best practices. This will involve analyzing business requirements, coding new application features, enhancing existing code, troubleshooting application issues, and configuring and customizing vendor-provided software. The ideal candidate will possess a background in full-stack Software Development, Microsoft Azure, DevSecOps practices, and working within an Agile product team. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, and excel in a fast-paced environment.This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. Actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.Key Responsibilities

Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements high-quality code for new and existing applications that satisfies customer requirements and strives for simplicity, clarity, and testability.Supports efforts of variable complexity aligned with the product roadmap; leads small-to-medium features from technical design through completion.Supports the defined software engineering roadmap, contributing to the organization's engineering and technology strategy. Adheres to architecture, design, implementation, application security, and software engineering standards, practices, and processes.Stays current on industry trends and serves as an expert on the software development lifecycle and agile engineering practices; coaches others, as needed. Conducts demos of application features and designs features to support automated testability.Promotes a collaborative team environment and works closely with colleagues to achieve business objectives. Collaborates with Product Managers, Product Owners, and users to translate requirements into design specifications for the review and delivery within the team.Produces high-quality solutions or deliverables in accordance with effort estimates and specifications.Supports the implementation of new architectures, standards, methods and logic for enterprise software in accordance with business strategies and specifications.Carries out proper documentation of software design and works with business partners to design and implement solutions to meet architecture standards.Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience required2+ years of relevant IT experienceExperience as a full-stack developer, with a focus on the Microsoft programming technology stack, including C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, and related technologies preferred.Understanding of Agile development methodologies, software release management, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and DevSecOps principles and practices is preferred.Skills
