The Rutgers School of Business-Camden (RSBC) seeks a professional, dynamic individual who is an excellent researcher, highly motivated leader, and committed institution builder, to collaborate with the Dean, faculty, staff, and university stakeholders in the design, development, and administration of undergraduate programs offered within RSBC. The Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs is responsible for providing academic leadership, administrative oversight, and strategic direction for all undergraduate programs including the on-campus Bachelor of Science, online Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (OBBA), the Off-campus Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (BBA), and for any new degree programs that might be introduced by the school in the future. Additionally, the Associate Dean will oversee the successful delivery of the school’s newly launched Business Honors program.Reporting to the Dean and serving on the Dean’s cabinet, the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs will also manage and strategically develop the Student Engagement, Empowerment, and Development (SEED) office which is responsible for holistic professional development of business students. The Associate Dean, working closely with area heads, will be responsible for developing course schedules and identifying appropriate faculty to teach in the programs. The Associate Dean serves as the Ex-Officio head of the Undergraduate committee, overseeing policies, processes, curricula, and assessments to meet pedagogical and accreditation goals.The Associate Dean will have no teaching responsibilities throughout the duration of their term. This is a non-aligned administrative position that reverts to a faculty position upon completion of term(s). Preferred start date is July 1, 2025. Position subject to budget approval.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIn collaboration with the Dean, develop a compelling vision for the school’s undergraduate programs, including positioning and brand identity. Translate this vision into specific objectives, goals, and strategies.Identify synergies across programs to achieve reputation and enrollment targets.Provide administrative oversight to the undergraduate staff in terms of admissions, advising, student services, and engagement to ensure strong recruitment and retention into all undergraduate programs.Work with the undergraduate curriculum committee to create high-quality academic content for each program, improve coordination of content across programs, and ensure that the highest quality of academic standards is maintained.Form collaborative relationships with other units within and outside the campus to ensure smooth operations to support undergraduate student admissions, retention, and placement.Develop strategic metrics and dashboards to measure success and identify areas for improvement.Provide oversight for the assurance of learning and assessment processes for AACSB compliance and ensure that the College uses the feedback for continuous improvement of the various graduate programs.Streamline and manage strategic direction and operations of the SEED office to ensure broad student engagement and participation.Collaborate with the business honors program director to elevate academic excellence for the program and ensure distinctive student experiences.Engage with local high schools through programs such as BizEd and Summer Bootcamps to support student recruitment and college readiness.Collaborate with and support Off-campus program advisors and ensure delivery of quality programs at multiple off-campus locations including Mt. Laurel, NJ; Blackwood, NJ; Freehold, NJ; and/or Princeton, NJ.Other duties related to undergraduate programs as developed in collaboration with the Office of the Dean.The search will emphasize Rutgers’ commitment to excellence.
