The ESOP Association (TEA) is the leading national trade and professional association representing employee-owned companies and the professionals who provide services to those companies (such as attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, trustees). The ESOP Association is headquartered in Washington, DC.The Coordinator of Member Services will work in the Membership department to provide support to ESOP Association members. This person will update and maintain membership records, assist with incoming calls and member inquiries, conduct monthly invoicing and serve as the registrar for ESOP Association meetings. The ideal candidate will strive to ensure steady and consistent services are being provided to our members and potential members.This position is a critical resource that provides quality services to support the needs of the team and membership. The Coordinator will cultivate relationships with multiple volunteer leaders and develop communications to engage current and prospective members and identify and implement resources and programs to address their unique needs.The Coordinator of Member Services must be a person who acts consistent with the values of TEA as expressed through the Association’s vision, mission, and culture. The Coordinator is an approachable individual with excellent communication skills, is diligent and accurate with their work, can adhere to deadlines, and has strong project management skills.The Coordinator of Member Services is the first contact many members or prospective members have when they reach out to TEA. They have two primary areas of responsibility: Member Services & Conference and Meeting Services.Member Services Duties (70%):

Serve as primary membership service representative by responding to and directing incoming inquiries and requests for assistance received by phone and email.Maintain membership records within the Association’s database and ensure accuracy of data.Manage the membership lifecycle through activities including creating membership invoices, welcome packets, taking payments, soliciting membership feedback, and offering innovative ideas for membership recruitment, retention, and engagement.Membership mail management, ensuring outgoing invoices, reminders, membership benefit information, and welcome packets are sent out in a timely manner.Responsible for the inventory of products available through our online store and handling fulfillment orders for all publications, posters, and products.Assist TEA team by fulfilling requests for membership, payment, and contributions reports, forwarding member inquiries to the correct staff member, and providing other association and membership information as needed.Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional communications that support recruitment of new members and retention of existing members.Conferences and Meetings Services Duties (30%):

Assist members with their registration for national conferences, chapter conferences, and other events.Provide support, onsite or remotely, for events and other activities as assigned.Provide support for The ESOP Association exhibit booth at the Employee Owned Conference in Las Vegas.Assist with conference and meeting logistics and providing updated membership materials.Education & Experience:

Requires a minimum of two years of prior relevant trade association, member engagement, and customer service work experience.Familiarity with VoIP phone systems and comfortable with regular verbal communications with members.Experience using membership databases required, with Fonteva or Salesforce experience preferred.Attributes:

Outstanding verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.A proven self-starter that carries out responsibilities independently and consistently within assigned parameters.Experience working on a small team with remote and in-person teammates.Bilingual in English and Spanish would be a bonus.Work Environment/Conditions:

Only local candidates who are comfortable commuting to our office will be considered. Our office is located in Washington, DC between Union Station and Chinatown metros.We understand that a single candidate may not offer every single desired skill, experience, and characteristic, and encourage candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to express interest.Compensation:

The salary for this position is between $50,000-$75,000 and commensurate with experience, plus benefits. Benefits include:Health, dental and vision insurance on the first day of the first month after your start.10 days of PTO per year for employees with less than 5 years of service / 15 days for employees with 5 or more years of service.12 holidays per year including the four weekdays between Christmas and New Year’s Day and three floating holidays.5 days of sick leave granted at the beginning of the year and then an additional 5 days that is accrued throughout the year.401(k) TEA contributes up to $10,000 of your annual salary based on your own pre-tax salary contributions.TEA is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
