This position requires an individual with a strong background in battery control and algorithms, modeling, and battery chemistries. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.You Will:Work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance our cutting-edge battery management featuresContribute to our world-acclaimed battery product for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy productsDesign and develop high quality battery controls to ensure safety and performance of vehicle battery packs in real timeDesign and develop accurate and robust battery algorithms and models such as state of charge, state of energy, state of health to optimize vehicle performance and customer experienceCollaborate with cross-functional teams such as controls, battery cells, embedded software, system engineering, vehicle integration teams to define requirements and perform integration testingVerify software using unit test and hardware-in-the-loop test frameworkDebug the hardware and software time critical issues utilizing debugging toolsSupport the Battery Software department with additional duties/tasks as needed.You Bring:5+ years of experience in developing battery controls and algorithmsKnowledge of battery chemistries such as LFP and NMCExperience with battery management systems and EV powertrainExperienced with model-based software design and development toolsProficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++Advantageous:Knowledge of vehicle controls such as motor, onboard charger, and thermal systemsKnowledge of electrochemistry and battery modelingGood understanding of automotive functional safety standards like ISO 26262Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as Automotive Ethernet and CANWorking knowledge of AUTOSAREducation Requirements:BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields, MS and PhD preferredSalary Range:

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits:
