Quinlan School of Business, Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance, Tenure TrackThank you for your interest in Loyola University Chicago. The Department of Finance in the Quinlan School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured position in the Finance Department. This appointment will start in Fall 2025 and may be made at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, depending on qualifications. Fields of Emphasis: All areas in finance are welcome, with preference in investments.
Quinlan tenure-track faculty engage in impactful teaching, high-quality research, service to the profession, and share a strong commitment to and understanding of the University’s mission. At the assistant professor level, we seek candidates who will become established leaders in finance. At the advanced assistant or associate professor level, we seek individuals who have a track record as excellent scholars and teachers. Applicants should have a strong research record or demonstrate potential for high-quality research publications. Teaching responsibilities will be both at the undergraduate and MBA/MS levels, with an expectation of teaching excellence. The initial teaching load is four undergraduate or graduate courses a year.

QualificationsCandidates must have a minimum of an earned doctorate degree in Finance, or a closely related field, an established record of high-quality research activities in the field, and experience teaching. Candidates are expected to have earned their degree prior to the effective date of appointment.
