Summary

Plans and executes purchasing style, quantity & quality of merchandise in accordance with customerdemand, market trends, brand direction, & fiscal obligations. Ensures maximum sales & grossmargin performance coupled with inventory management. Establish buying standards, processes,and procedures. Responsible for the coordination of product information across functions, workingclosely with Visual, Design, Planning, Merchandising, ECOM, Marketing, and Store Operations toensure the process is followed and timelines met.

Key Responsibilities

Creates SKU assortment plans and final buys that support brand initiatives and financial targets for sales, margin, inventory and turn by category for the men’s full price (stores), ECOM and outlet divisions.Partners with the Merchandising team on assortment strategy through hindsight meetings, market visits, and line review process.Creates detailed by item by channel (ECOM, Stores, Outlets) seasonal buy, ensuring the roll-up supports the sales budgets and is in line with receipt targets.Creates detailed buy presentation documents, which are presented to the CEO, including visual/window product strategy, key look and volume driver investments, store assortment strategy, and financial category recap.Partners closely with the ECOM & Marketing team on-site merchandising, ad campaign strategies, email strategies, and social media initiatives.Balances inventory need by style for the retail channels (ECOM & Stores) in partnership with Planning & Allocation to achieve the highest return on investment.Maximizes sales and inventory by managing the fashion allocation strategy in partnership with Planning & Allocation.Consistently reviews & reacts to sales performance/selling reports and drives markdown and promotional strategies ensuring the greatest sales and margin potential.Evaluates store profile by the performance of the product, communication, and travel to the stores.Produces weekly business recap documents for product category recaps, seasonal and core item best sellers/worst sellers, with images and proposed action points and presents in the weekly business review.Develops and cross-trains the buying team.Requirements

Experience & Education:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years of prior experience in buying, with 1-2 at an associate level.Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or equivalent from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Computer skills to include Excel, PowerPoint, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, and other relevant Retail applications (KWI & QlikView ideal).Customer-focused with an eye for trends and well-versed in the contemporary and/or denim market.Strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask are essential.Ability to create spreadsheets for product performance and analytical documents as well as visual documents using product imagery.Ability to lead, coach, and develop staff to improve performance and achieve professional goals.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, Employees, And Others With Whom The Company Conducts Business.Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, procedures, and other business practices, guidelines, and documents.Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, and power of influence.Detail-oriented.Ability to understand, assess & problem solve by leveraging analytical skills.Ability to calculate figures and amounts.Strong knowledge/experience in retail math.Required 10% International Travel.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that welcomes and values the differences among all of our associates, customers, suppliers, and the communities in which we live and conduct business. Salary Description

$90,000 - $110,000
