Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process.Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status.Perform quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.Make decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.Participate in all required safety meetings.File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.Direct the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions, and explain procedures to the assistant.Qualifications
Certification in body repair preferred.Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.I-CAR welding certified.Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data.Ability to supervise repair personnel.Must be able to pass a thorough background check.Compensation: $19.97 - $37.00/hour. Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience. Earning potential is directly tied to hours worked and jobs completed.
