Being part of Dialectica’s Technology Team you will have the opportunity to help build tech products according to the requirements of our internal and external clients and share the company’s vision to roll out more information services software products in the future.Technologies we use:About the roleWe are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in the client facing Demand product area. The team is going to be responsible for building a new product from the ground up that will be offering valuable insights to our clients and will be interfacing with the rest of our microservices ecosystem. We are looking for a leader with great technical skills, empathy and passion for managing people.As a Software Engineering Manager in Dialectica you will:Manage members of your team, coach them and be responsible for their career growthBe responsible for the team’s delivery goals within their Product ownership areaOrganize daily and recurring activities following Agile methodologiesTake part in architectural discussions and drive the implementation of the team’s roadmapWrite well structured, testable, performant and secure codeReview code and have your own code reviewed by fellow engineersDesign new systems and improve existing ones following best practices and architectural patternsBe responsible for the good operation and monitoring of the systems the team ownsBe responsible for the performance of your team members and evaluate them regularlyBuild and cultivate an environment of ownership, trust and teamworkOrganize team bonding activities and strive for the team members’ well-beingGet engaged with the product and aim to deliver great business valueRequirementsFor a good fit in this role we expect candidates with:BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field2+ years of experience in managing, leading or mentoring other engineers8+ years of proven experience in building Web Applications that are robust, maintainable and scalableExperience with back end technologies and frameworks (e.g Ruby/Ruby on Rails, NodeJS/Express, PHP, Go, Java, Python)Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systemsExperience with SQL and No-SQL Databases (preferably PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis)Familiarity with modern front end frameworks, technologies and patterns (React, Vue, micro-frontends etc.)Familiarity with message brokers (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, SNS/SQS)Deep understanding of software architecture and the software development life cycleSolid foundation and understanding of the Object-Oriented programming patterns and best practices (Design Patterns and SOLID design principles)A broad knowledge of the web platform as a whole (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, HTTP/S, REST, web performance, web security)Agile development experience (SCRUM)Fluency in English is a mustIt would be great if you also have:Experience with GraphQLFamiliarity with Domain-Driven DesignDevOps mindsetOur Values:OwnershipGrowth MindsetTeamworkRespectOur Engineering Principles:Master your CraftWork for the TeamBuild for the BusinessBe PragmaticYou feel you might not be experienced enough for the role or your experience is on different technologies?
