Reports To : VP of Franchise DevelopmentPosition SummaryThe Franchise Development Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the retail tax preparation company by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new franchisees. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, managing the franchise sales process, and ensuring prospective franchisees are well-informed and prepared to join the franchise network. The Franchise Development Sales Manager will work closely with the VP of Franchise Development to achieve the company’s franchise sales goals and contribute to its overall growth strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesFranchise Sales Strategy:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve franchise growth objectives.Identify target markets and prospective franchisees through market research and analysis.Participate in the creation of marketing campaigns to attract potential franchisees.

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

Generate leads through various channels, including digital marketing, networking events, and industry expos.Qualify leads to ensure they meet the company’s criteria for potential franchisees.Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective franchisees.

Sales Process Management:

Manage the entire franchise sales process, from initial inquiry to final agreement.Conduct presentations and meetings with prospective franchisees to provide information about the franchise opportunity.Guide prospective franchisees through due diligence, including financial assessments and background checks.

Relationship Building:

Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and new franchisees.Provide ongoing support and communication throughout the sales process.Act as a liaison between prospective franchisees and the company’s leadership team.

Documentation and Compliance:

Ensure all franchise agreements and documentation comply with legal and regulatory requirements.Assist in preparing and reviewing franchise disclosure documents (FDDs).Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all franchise sales activities.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Collaborate with the VP of Franchise Development to align sales strategies with overall company goals.Provide regular reports on franchise sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics.Participate in regular meetings to review sales progress and discuss strategic initiatives.

Market Analysis and Feedback:

Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.Provide feedback to the leadership team on market conditions and franchisee needs.Recommend improvements to the franchise sales process based on market insights.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not required.Proven experience in franchise sales, business development, or a related field, preferably within the tax or service industry.Strong understanding of franchising concepts, principles, and best practices.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Ability to travel as needed to meet with prospective franchisees and attend industry events.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.Initiative-taking, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Knowledge of the tax preparation industry is a plus.Working ConditionsThis position is based onsite at our support center in either Virginia Beach, VA, or Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.Travel is required to attend meetings, industry events, and support franchise sales activities (estimated
