Job Description
The Wine Store Sales Associate assists guests with all steps of their shopping experience including: guiding them to products, securing products out of reach, loading heavy items and making suggestions. Reports to the Beverage Managers.
Responsibilities
Provides prompt, efficient and friendly guest service
Educates guests about Italian Wines, beer and beverages sold at Eataly
Receives and stocks wine and wine store merchandise, may review invoices
Rotates, faces and replenishes merchandise
Executes La Scuola Sip & Savor wine classes under the direction of the Beverage Director
Sets up for each class including rolling silverware, setting places and gathering materials
Checks in guests and introduces classes
Opens wine and pours for guests
Describes flavor profile, pairing detail and winery information
Breaks down after each class
Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Wine sale experience
Italian wine knowledge preferred
Job Requirements
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently; exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 4 hours
Flexible availability, including weekends, preferred
