is seeking a

Medical Scribe

to join our growing team in New Jersey. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Mondays & Tuesdays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Wednesdays & Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Fridays). Our office is located at 299 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ, 7663.

We offer 2 - 3 days of paid on-the-job training in the office. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Accurately transcribe dictations provided by healthcare professionals (e.g., physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants)Maintain adherence to transcription quality assurance standards (e.g., QA metrics, productivity metrics, daily reviews of post-QA reports)Provide post-QA documents (e.g., difference documents) to transcriptionists and/or QA analysts, as appropriateDemonstrate appropriate grammar, punctuation and style standards when transcribing/editing provider dictationsDemonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pharmacologyDemonstrate knowledge of medical terminology for appropriate medical specialtiesDemonstrate knowledge of medical/surgical procedures and equipment for appropriate medical specialtiesDemonstrate knowledge of medications/dosages for appropriate medical specialties

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GEDMust be 18 years of age OR older6+ months of medical transcription experienceUnderstanding of medical terminology from education OR previous on-the-job trainingAbility to work any shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM on Mondays & Tuesdays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Wednesdays & Thursdays, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Fridays) from Monday - Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

Work experience as a medical scribe in a fast-paced clinical environmentAbility to type at the speed of 60+ WPM (words per minute)Experience with Epic EMR

New Jersey Residents Only:

The hourly range for this is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
