SUMMARY:

The Junior Insurance Analyst accountable for delivering excellent and efficient service by supporting the Head of Due Diligence and assisting with private equity driven acquisition workflow. The successful candidate will become an integral member of HUB’s Due Diligence team and gain exposure to the private equity industry and develop analytical skills to perform due diligence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in establishing and building client relationships

With guidance from Head of Due Diligence, responds to client coverage inquiries, reviews contracts and agreements for insurance coverage compliance

Follows the agency workflows and procedures to avoid Errors and Omissions

Serve as a liaison between clients and servicing teams to enable smooth transition of new accounts and acquisitions by existing accounts

Supports Head of Due Diligence, Producers and Account Managers in policy reviews and preparing for meetings with clients

Supports Head of Due Diligence in reviewing data rooms; compiles data request list tailored to each deal

Follows up for missing information, adhering to established deal timeline

Conducts catastrophe analysis using proprietary software

Obtain benchmarking data through third party databases

Works with Head of Due Diligence to compile due diligence reports in accordance with delivery schedules; provides support in identifying client insurance needs, gaps in coverage and loss exposure; recommends appropriate insurance coverage and assists in preparing summaries of insurance and schedules

Conducts QoE analysis on insurance line items as listed on financials vs. actual

Sends schedules and applications to insureds for completion and issues policies to clients

Keeps the data management system and shared folder up to date with current information as well as submission tracking

Gathers information and reviews applications and submissions for accuracy and completeness; assist in negotiating terms, pricing and conditions with carriers

Accesses carrier websites to obtain new business quotes as needed

Manages timely production of other deliverables as required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS:

2-5 years of commercial property and casualty client service experience and/or background in broking / marketing preferred but not required

Excellent customer service, analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills

Must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal English communications skills

Ability or adaptability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Ability to interpret large data files and financial statements

Up to 5% travel may be required

EDUCATION, LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Risk Management and Insurance, Accounting, Statistics, or Finance preferred

Willingness to obtain the Tennessee Property & Casualty License

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Up to 25%

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
