Project Manager,

opportunity. The position is based in

Irvine, CA.

The Transportation Project Manager (PM) will execute a variety of transportation assignments involving highways, local roadways, bicycle facilities, and bridge capital improvement projects. This position requires general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of the effects of the work on other disciplines. The successful candidate must be able to work independently on various projects as assigned by the Transportation Director. They may oversee the entire design process, serve as a project manager, or assist as a technical expert on a specialized design. The PM will assess the requirements of a project, break the project into tasks, and work with the Department Manager to develop the scope of work, budget, and staffing needs The qualified candidate will be self-motivated, and will be comfortable working in a multitasking, fast-paced environment, meeting time schedules and deadlines within a team environment.

Your Role:

Develop and maintain close working relationships with clients Write a scope of work for transportation design services based on preliminary review and meetings with the client; Manage and prepare engineering studies, schematic design, and final design of highways, intersections, and roadways including plans, specifications, and estimates; Manage, assign, and review the work of the project design team. Check the progress of work and identify changes in scope or additional services; Coordinate all aspects of project documentation within the company and externally with clients; Promote the use of and participate in the development of company design quality and production standards; Act as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers and technicians; manage and mentor staff; Acquire new projects from existing and potential clients; Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required Professional Engineer (PE) License in Californiarequired, or able to obtain within 6 months 10+ years of related experience in transportation engineering preferred Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record Current relevant transportation engineering experience in Southern California required; Experience with Caltrans preferred Experience writing proposals highly desired Familiarity with relevant transportation engineering codes and industry standards; Working knowledge of stormwater and utility design a plus Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more

Salary Range:$123,000 - $160,000+, depending on experience.
