part-time. Fosters high standards of practice relating to the care, teaching and rehabilitation of persons having ostomies, fistulas, wounds and incontinence. Serves as a subject matter expert to peers, physicians and leaders on complex clinical issues in wound, ostomy, and continence care. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice and provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Shifts/schedule could be anywhere between M-F, 8-4; 24 hours per weekLocation : Inova Mount Vernon HospitalEducation : Bachelors Degree in NursingExperience : Experience providing wound/ostomy care and Wound Certification (CWS, CWOCN, CWCN, CWOCN, or COCN accepted) or 5 years RN experience providing wound/ostomy care. Preferred experience in clinical nursing education.Licensure/Certifications : RN license in the state of Virginia; CWS, CWOCN, CWCN, CWOCN, or COCN accepted OR 2 additional years RN experience providing wound/ostomy care in lieu of cert; BLS from the American Heart AssociationOther : Must be able to function independently, Microsoft Office (excel), EpicCare, team player
