The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working in a law firm, with exceptional research and writing abilities, proficiency in modern legal technology, and strong communication skills. This role involves preparing legal documents, arguing motions in court, advising clients, and managing administrative tasks. The successful candidate will integrate well with both senior partners and the administrative team to deliver outstanding legal services.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare legal documents for clients, including briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence.Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings.Advise clients by evaluating available options, planning a course of action, and working towards successful outcomes.Manage administrative tasks such as client invoicing, billing records, and setting up meetings with clients.Conduct legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.Use legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) to support case preparation.Collaborate effectively with senior partners and administrative staff to enhance legal services and case management.RequirementsPrior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years.Strong research and writing abilities.Proficiency in modern legal technology and legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis).Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and clients.Ability to handle administrative tasks related to client invoicing, billing records, and meeting coordination.Must be an active member of the local Bar association.Education and CertificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Membership in the local Bar association (active member preferred).SkillsAdvanced computer skills, particularly with legal research tools (Westlaw and Lexis).Exceptional research, writing, and analytical abilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently.Proven ability to work collaboratively with both senior partners and administrative staff.
