Bankruptcy Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chandler, AZ, seeks a knowledgeable and experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bankruptcy law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a diverse caseload of consumer debtor cases.Duties:Consult with clients to assess their financial situations and determine the appropriate bankruptcy strategyEducate and inform clients about the bankruptcy process, their rights, and obligationsMentor and guide support staff to ensure proper fulfillment of legal servicesPrepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responsesStay abreast of changes in bankruptcy laws and statutes at the local, state, and federal levelsRepresent clients in court proceedings, including arguing motions on their behalfMaintain membership with the State Bar of Arizona in good standingRequirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the State Bar of ArizonaMinimum of 2+ years of experience representing consumer debtors in bankruptcy proceedingsExperience with Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and adversary proceedingsWorking knowledge of related legal areas such as family law, personal injury, tax, and contract law is preferredExceptional time management and interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while managing multiple filesCertifications:Member of the State Bar of Arizona in good standingSkills:Proficiency in bankruptcy law and proceduresStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and accuracy in legal document preparationProficiency in legal research and writingJob Location:
