We are currently seeking an International Banking Manager to lead all aspects of the successful operation of the International Banking Department.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute business development strategies and programs aiming to grow the volume and the bank's market share in international and Japan banking market in Hawaii
  • Strategic, legal, compliance, administration and risk management of the International Banking Department
  • Coach, mentor, lead, develop, and motivate all staff members
  • Prepare annual departmental budget, adhere to the budget, and to meet departmental financial goals

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this role is $132k-$171k/year; commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships, commercial banking or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in a C-suite management position in a Japanese multinational, including experience working with large, Japan-based companies and investors with operations or investments in Hawaii, Guam, and Saipan
  • Must be native-level speaker in Japanese with an emphasis on formal business and honorific language, including reading and writing and experience composing professional-level correspondence and reports in English and Japanese
  • Must have experience with executive-level Japanese and American business etiquette, culture and practices

Required Education or Equivalent Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, banking, law or other closely related discipline
