The Director, Taxation is primarily responsible for the corporate tax compliance and reporting functions of the MissionSquare Retirement group of entities. The Tax Director participates daily in all corporate tax matters by providing technical analysis and research, along with recommendations and opinions, as appropriate. This position also contributes to business planning and product development initiatives, and partners with associates at senior staff and management levels on tax and regulatory compliance projects.

Essential Functions for this role include:
- Coordinate, manage and oversee all processes involving preparation, technical review and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns and regulatory reports.
- Plan and perform fact-finding research and analysis covering a broad range of federal, state, and local tax issues, along with other related business and investment fund reporting matters.
- Prepare reports and memoranda documenting analysis and technical support on matters relevant to federal, state, and local business tax compliance.
- Draft board reports, management memoranda and financial disclosures applicable to corporate business operations and investment activities.
- Perform and participate in tax and regulatory compliance research in support of corporate business initiatives and work processes.
- Coordinate with in-house corporate staff and outside firms and professional advisors, as appropriate.
- Direct and perform special project work or other duties, as assigned.
If you have the following skills, we encourage you to apply:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
- Certified Public Accountant.
- 10+ years of experience as a corporate tax professional with exposure to governmental/regulatory reporting processes relevant to the financial services industry.
- Public accounting or law firm tax practice experience a plus.
- Strong experience and knowledge of tax laws and generally accepted accounting principles
- Highest level of commitment to quality and customer service

- Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and collaborative skills
