Responsibilities
• Attend various industry tradeshows and conferences as a professional representative of the hotel, while adhering to the budget and marketing plan requirements• Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads• Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community• Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share
Qualifications
• Hotel Sales experience• Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities• Prior experience working in the hospitality sector is required• 3+ years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality• High school diploma or GED, and bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred• Stays organized and manage time well
