As a

Health Information Management (HIM) Document Imaging Specialist , you will accurately perform indexing process on site in a hospital setting. To help achieve our mission, you will complete all Indexing and Quality Control (QC) work in accordance with hospital defined productivity and quality standards. Your ability to work the assignments in the appropriate Distributed Control System, Quality Control (QC) and indexing work queues to ensure timely processing of all work assignments is of vital importance.

$20 /Hour

Schedule:

M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

(HIM) Document Imaging Specialist Responsibilities:

Processes documentation (document prep, scanning and indexing) into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).Assures integrity and quality of medical records using document imaging technology with established quality control procedures.Responsible for demonstrating knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations as evidenced by appropriate handling of Protected Health Information (PHI), promoting confidentiality and using discretion when handling patient and various hospital departments information.Demonstrates competency by successfully meeting established scanning/indexing metrics for productivity and quality.Communicates any issues to Management in a timely manner.Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, accuracy, daily maintenance, and storage of all data both in an electronic and hard copy format consistent with the administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.Other duties as assigned.(HIM) Document Imaging Specialist Requirements:

High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 2 years recent Medical Records Data experienceStrong data entry skills and accuracy, meticulous attention to detailComputer proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteCritical thinking and analytical skillsStrong communication skills and top notch customer service

Proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella by 2 vaccinations (shot records) or evidenced by lab/titer results.Proof of annual TB screen (skin test, blood test or documentation of a positive TB test with a normal chest x-ray report. (Evidence of annual TB screen required)Proof of annual influenza immunization since start of current flu season.Proof of immunity to MeningococcalHepatitis B immunization is required to be offered.
