As an SDE on our team, you will design, build, and maintain systems for evaluating our best-in-class models. You’ll also work closely with our Applied Scientists to develop tools that support our modeling and evaluation team.

Develop and maintain key tooling for model evaluation.Work closely with product teams, and scientists to create new techniques and tooling around emerging research capabilities and evaluating models to meet customer needs.Manage project prioritization, deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder communication.Illuminate trade-offs, educate the team on best practices, and influence technical strategy.Collaborate closely with Applied Scientists to investigate and plan experiments, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility.Operate in a dynamic environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentExcellent knowledge of theory and practice of MLAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
