The Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) at Woman’s Hospital leads the philanthropic strategy and fundraising initiatives to support the mission of improving the health of women and infants. This role also functions as the President/Chief Executive of the Foundation For Woman’s, an independent 501c(3) organization. The CPO serves as the liaison with the Foundation For Woman’s Board of Trustees developing and maintaining a strong positive relationship with Board members. The CPO is crucial in building relationships with donors, stakeholders, and the community to secure funding for patient care, research, and facility improvements. This position promotes a culture of philanthropy within the organization and the broader community, both statewide and nationally. The CPO develops and implements strategic plans for various fundraising campaigns, including planned giving, endowment, special events, capital development, annual giving, workplace giving, and major gifts. Expectations for maintaining strong community relationships by networking and attending social and business events during and outside of normal business hours are required.Additionally, this position oversees the Volunteer Services program for Woman’s Hospital.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is required. Master's degree preferred. CFRE certification is preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in fundraising and philanthropy, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.Significant healthcare or community service experience and an understanding of the principles of fundraising are essential. Extensive experience working with an engaged board and volunteers.Proven track record of successfully securing major gifts and managing comprehensive fundraising campaigns.Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both internal and external stakeholders.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective philanthropic strategies.Strong understanding of philanthropic trends, best practices, and ethical standards.Responsibilities:Woman’s Hospital firmly believes in their Mission “to improve the health of women and infants” therefore, they consider it a high priority to find the right fit for their CPO. The following are essential functions for the CPO:Philanthropic Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive philanthropic strategy aligned with the hospital’s mission and strategic goals.Fundraising Leadership: Lead all fundraising activities, including major gifts, planned giving, corporate partnerships, and special events.Donor Cultivation: Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, foundations, and key stakeholders to maximize philanthropic support.Board Engagement: Collaborate with the Board of Trustees and other volunteer leadership to engage in fundraising efforts and advocacy.Team Management: Oversee a team of fundraising professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure goals are met and exceeded.Campaign Management: Direct capital campaigns and fundraising drives, setting clear objectives, timelines, and benchmarks for success.Collaboration: Work closely with hospital leadership, including physicians, administrators, and program directors, to identify funding priorities and opportunities for support.Communication: Communicates with impact in order to effectively engage others and achieve desired results.Integrity: Responsible for maintaining and driving a culture of integrity, ethics, and transparency.Schedule:Full-Time; Monday - FridayEvening, Night, and Weekend engagements as required.Pay Range:Compensation commensurate with experience.A Work Experience with PurposeWoman’s is one of the largest specialty hospitals for women and infants in the United States.
