We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges.What You'll Do as a Prevention Supervisor:The Prevention Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Prevention Program Manager.The Prevention Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing staff under the Alcohol & Other Drugs Programs (e.g., AOD, FASD, SAMP, or RTR).The Prevention Supervisor must establish relationships with various organizations to promote our prevention and organizational goals.The Prevention Supervisor is expected to present educational presentations in the community, attend various taskforce, coalition and community meetings. The position includes several duties.The Prevention Supervisor must have knowledge and a thorough understanding of the agency’s various services and collaborated programs to be able to effectively communicate them to the community.He/she must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication and presentation skills.Through personal appearance, face-to-face contact, or telephone and email correspondence, the Prevention Supervisor must exhibit a professional and welcoming image to participants, staff and the public.The Prevention Supervisor is responsible for providing quality, sufficient and appropriate services and for maintaining high professional standards.The Prevention Supervisor works closely with the Director of Prevention & Early Intervention, the Prevention Program Manager, Drop-in Center staff as well as other Prevention staff.The Prevention Supervisor also maintains positive working relationships with all other BCCS staff and consultants.Pay

:Starting at $22/hourCommensuration based on experience and education!RequirementsQualifications for this position are:REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree in related social service, psychology, and/or communications field.REQUIRED : At least 1 to 2 years' work experience.REQUIRED : Familiarity with Primary Prevention includes substance misuse and early interventions.REQUIRED : Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with 2 points or less.The compensation package for this position includes:Group medical, and dental coverage with low employee costs32 paid days off annuallyTuition reimbursementA retirement plan with a company matchOpportunity for advancement
