ASG is a CMMI Level 3 certified for Development and Services and holds ISO certifications 9001:2015, 20000-1:2011, and 27000:2015.Job Description:The Senior Communications Specialist will support the Office of Business Operations (OBO) and Program Planning and Coordination Office (PPCO) in their strategic communications and employee engagement priorities. This senior role involves leading the development and execution of communication strategies, creating high-impact communication products, and managing various engagement activities to integrate initiatives with agency-wide implications.What You Will Do:Lead the development of creative and impactful communication and engagement strategies to support OBO and PPCO priorities.Oversee the creation and deployment of multi-modal communications products tailored by audience segmentation, demonstrating the impact of OCIO-led activities on agency and public health mission priorities.Evaluate and optimize communication channels and vehicles to effectively inform partners and collaborators.Provide leadership and support for partnership activities (approximately 3 per quarter), including preparing written remarks and presentations for engagements with external partners such as State Health Departments, non-governmental organizations, and private corporations.Provide ongoing strategic communication support, including expanding routine communications for situational awareness.Develop and implement templates and additional materials to increase consistency across communications.Design and oversee the deployment of employee engagement events and activities.Mentor and guide junior communications staff in best practices and strategic approaches.What We Will Need:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic communications or public relations, with at least 3 years in a senior role.Proven track record in leading and implementing communication strategies.Strong proficiency in creating high-impact multi-modal communication products.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Expertise in audience segmentation and tailored messaging.Ability to evaluate, optimize, and utilize various communication channels effectively.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience in coordinating and supporting partnership activities and engagement events.Familiarity with the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) and employee engagement practices is a plus.Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.At ASG, we value diversity and always treat all employees and job applicants based on merit, qualifications, competence, and talent.
