POSITION SUMMARYThe Kids Director leads and manages the children’s ministry on their assigned campus. This position builds a robust and healthy team that creates excellent weekend environments for birth through 6th grade and partnering relationships with families. In all actions, reflects the Sun Valley Community Church (SVCC) team leadership distinctives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Execute the Kids vision through strategic planning, implementation and alignment with Kids’ constants and ongoing evaluation of Kids environment2. Reproduce and advance the children’s ministry culture, best practices, systems, and ministry environments at assigned campus3. Empower Kids staff and volunteers to lead the ministries of Kids through creating a culture of leadership recruitment, development, training, and reproduction4. Encourage Kids staff and volunteers through prayer, spiritual direction, and development of a fun, engaging, creative and relational team environment5. Build and leverage momentum within Kids to reach the surrounding community with the Gospel through a personal, unrelenting, and catalytic passion for the mission to help people meet, know, and follow JesusMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and training that has equipped them for vocational ministry in a large ministry contextDemonstrated track record of spiritual maturity and character consistent with biblical requirements for church leadershipThree years of experience in a leadership role in a church or related setting working with children and teams of adult volunteers with a track record of leading teams through healthy ministry growth and progressStrategic in nature, innovative thinker with ability to drive projects and strategies through to completionSelf-motivated, self-directed requiring minimal supervisionEffective team building skills and ability to motivate othersEffective customer service, relational and communication skills, both written and verbalAgrees and aligns with the vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of SVCC
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSFour years full time related experience in a multi-site church setting of over 2000 members/attenders#J-18808-Ljbffr
