Responsibilities

The successful applicant would be flexibly deployed within the Perdido Assets supporting Well Delivery, Field Development Planning and Activei Reservoir Management for our existing production

Purpose Reservoir prediction, optimally locating development wells with accurate predictions of their Hydrocarbo drainage, volume estimations, fluid calls and associated uncertainties (stratigraphic, structural, reservoir quality, fluid presence and type).

Asset Integrated reservoir modeling, building/updating existing models, proficient in integrating between disciplines

Working closely geologists for reservoir character and architecture, structural framework, static model building, in-place volumes and risk/uncertainty analysis

Active contribution to well operations providing geophysical information during well execution

Safety and environmental focus into well planning, design and construction

Seek appropriate assurance of technical work according to company assurance standards

Collaborate with interdisciplinary, integrating all data for successful well outcomes including 3D and 4D data, inversion products and attributes, depositional environment, etc.

Communicate with project leaders, co-owners and JV Partners as appropriate, including technical representations

Provide key input and integration of Field Development Planning. Documentation, presentation and data management of geophysics work

Qualifications

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis

Must have Master’s degree in Geoscience or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as Geophysicist

Understanding of seismic acquisition and advanced processing techniques (eg, Least Squares Imaging) of a variety of seismic datasets

Experienced interfacing with multiple other subsurface disciplines (geology, petrophysics and reservoir engineer)
