DescriptionThe Director of Events and Trade Shows is a key member of the Medical Affairs team responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events and trade shows to showcase Kerecis products, build brand awareness, and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders in the industry. This role plays a pivotal role in driving the Company’s business growth and expanding its market presence.The Director of Events and Trade Shows is based in a Kerecis office and reports to the Vice President of Medical Affairs. This is a full-time, in-office role with regular travel to events and trade shows.Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement a comprehensive event and trade show strategy aligned with the Company’s goals and target audience in collaboration with Marketing and Commercial leadershipManage the Events and Trade Show team in the planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of events and trade shows, including logistics, budgets, and post-event analysisIdentify and secure suitable venues, vendors, and suppliers for events, ensuring a seamless and impactful experience for all attendeesCollaborate with cross -functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Product Development, to ensure alignment and maximize event and trade show impactSecondary FunctionsOversee the recruitment, training, and management of event staff, ensuring strong teamwork for high performanceStay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to recommend innovative event concepts and strategies.Analyze event data and insights to measure success of events and trade shows and identify areas for improvement.Travel to events and trade shows as requiredRequirementsCompetenciesProven experience in planning and executing successful events and trade shows in the medical device or healthcare industryDemonstrated ability to lead a highly collaborative and functional teamStrong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersStrategic thinking and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work as a team leader and also independently in a fast-paced environmentEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field from an accredited university; master’s degree a plus3-5 years of experience in the medical device or healthcare industryAnticipated travel: 40%This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
