This technology, combined with our personal attention and expert screening of each candidate, has made our agency extremely successful in the placement of all specialties, including:Family PractitionersOB/GynsHospitalistAll medical specialtiesAll surgical specialtiesLCSW / LICSW/ LMHC / BCBAWe are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Geriatric Behavioral Healthcare to work with a comprehensive, multi-faceted private psychiatric practice consisting of over thirty clinicians serving office, nursing home, and hospital patients in the Metropolitan Boston area for more than 25 years.The staff consists of clinical nurse specialists, licensed social workers, nurse practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists, and licensed mental health counselors who supply quality, personalized behavioral health treatments to those recovering from trauma, life-changing events, or addictions.The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide continuity of care for an established caseload of elderly patients residing in nursing homes. Skills in working with a complex population are required for this position. The position allows for independence and serves as a key member of the clinical team. All clients are treated within the context of a treatment team.Focus primarily on the population with identified or suspected behavioral/mental health conditions and “adopts” these patients to add psychiatric expertise to the medical management plan and mitigate any negative impact that behavioral conditions can have on the patient's overall health and well-being.Provide evaluation and treatment services for high-functioning clientele. Prescribe and manage medications. Offer appropriate services and communicate changes at the first available opportunity if unable to reach in an emergent situation.A flexible schedule is available; the provider will oversee patients at 1-2 nursing homes with the same schedule (no running all over the place).
