Responsibilities:The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Electro-Mechanical Category will be responsible for developing the category strategy for the assigned industry segment and driving implementation across the GSG/CSS segment.He / she will develop commodity strategies that will meet the future needs of the Company, drive best practices and be responsible for delivering robust year on year productivity and direct material cost gains across the category.Partnering with key stakeholders which include the areas of: new product development teams, life cycle engineering, current Make sites-Operations, Product Management Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Planning, to ensure that the Electro Mechanical Supply Chain incorporates strategies which support the key elements of Product Quality, Delivery and Cost Efficiency.Developing and implementing strong business relationships to establish and manage supplier partnerships & to positively contribute to the efficiency of Supply Chain and R&D.Leading strategic direction and execution in sourcing Electro-Mechanical Category for the segment to ensure optimal mix of cost and cycle time, while continually guaranteeing required levels of quality.Lead best in class sourcing activities including commodity management.Deliver YOY productivity savings, as measured by cost reductions.Identify opportunities to upgrade Supplier skills through areas such as technology, process improvements, lean and others.Manage supplier capabilities including but not limited to capacity planning, tooling and resource investments including inventory management.Participate in industry research and market surveys in order to stay current with best in class strategic sourcing practices and customer demands.Overall systems capability analysis in support of the supply chain. Partner with Franchise based electro-mechanical leads to achieve business objectives.Represent GSG in dealings with suppliers at the executive level.Work with Advanced Sourcing Leads to enable a robust pipeline of materials for new projects.Monitor and benchmark existing supply base within the global marketplace.Provide commodities guidance on cost, futures and availability across the segment.Lead the assigned industry segment within GSG to best in class performance within the industry.Qualifications:Minimum of 5-7 years relevant experience in a supply chain or technical role within a high-volume-manufacturing required.Sourcing or Manufacturing Experience in the Electronics or Electro-mechanical industry.3 years in Electro-Mechanical Category Sourcing preferred.Experience with Electro-Mechanical Category materials and design is desirable.Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred.Proven ability to influence/collaborate required.Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills required.Leadership: setting direction, influencing, goal alignment, lead & influence others in a matrix organization.Education:BS Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or related field.CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management) or CPM, (Certified Purchasing Manager preferred).
