Overview

We are seeking a full-time

Global Commodity Manager

in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing strategic sourcing plans that create maximum benefits for the business.

Essential FunctionsResponsible for commodity strategy related with electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical products and or services including: sourcing strategy, spend segmentation, supply market analysis, supplier capability assessment, supplier recruitment and management, RFI/P/Q development, developing a business case for improved supply and or service, risk assessment and management, while managing assigned commodities or services across multiple sites.Ability to lead and drive execution of supply chain strategies in a collaborative and multi-site matrix environment to achieve both tactical and strategic goals.Applies knowledge of commodities/commodity market trends, serves as expert in influencing/leading/driving project implementation of supply chain strategies, and develops short/long-term goals for management consideration in support of customer requirements.Responsible for multi-site negotiations and executions of sourcing agreements for assigned commodities and/or services.Negotiate strategic agreements and drive cost, quality, delivery and service improvements across multiple departments and sites continuously.Uses analytical and qualitative methods to analyze market commodities and product data.Demonstrate full knowledge and serve as a technical leader for assigned commodities and supply chain services.Organize, facilitate and manage cross-functional teams to develop commodity and service strategies.Work with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to ensure sourcing decisions achieve overall commodity objectives and all parts for prototype builds are available in advance.Identify and help drive technical root cause and corrective action for assigned product or service responsibilities.Assure execution of Supplier Guidelines with responsible suppliers in support of various sites.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related Engineering or Operations field

AND

a minimum of 3 years directly demonstrated experience in managing commodities and/or a combination of related supply chain experience.Demonstrated experience managing commodities.Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills as well as negotiating, analytical and presenting skills.Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment across multiple time zones while effectively meeting deadlines.Demonstrated proficient knowledge of the workings of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.Must possess demonstrated knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII)/Master Production Schedule (MPS) process.Demonstrated significant technical knowledge within the commodity managed.Demonstrated extensive experience assessing requirements, negotiating and executing supply contracts and/or service agreements with a focus on maximizing PPV.Ability to travel domestically and internationally.Demonstrated extensive experience assessing all supply chain attributes with a focus on maximizing PPV over long term programs.Must demonstrate a proven knowledge and understanding of the global markets that impact the managed commodity.Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
