We’re proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.About the RoleFivetran is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting Operations to join our Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Revenue Accounting & Operations, you will own and be responsible for the customer billing cycle from deal close to cash collection, ensuring all key data elements required for revenue accounting and billing are captured and recorded in our systems and the complete, accurate and timely billing of our customers.You will play a pivotal role in helping Fivetran scale and grow by identifying areas of opportunity for efficiency and automation. In addition, this position will require impeccable attention to detail and the ability to deliver results in an evolving environment under deadlines. You will partner cross-functionally with various teams to develop and maintain best-in-class processes and controls to support the seamless execution of our Order Management, Billing, and Collections activities.This is a hybrid position, based out of our Oakland office.What You'll DoDevelop processes to conduct meticulous reviews of order forms to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.Ensure that all deals adhere to internal company policies, including bookings and revenue recognition, and comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) regulations.Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for questions regarding deal bookings.Oversee full-time and contractor staff members and ensure the complete, accurate, and timely invoicing of customers and the ultimate collection of cash.Partner with Deal Desk and GTM to develop processes that ensure the completeness and accuracy of customer data supporting revenue recognition, invoicing, and product provisioning.Identify and drive process improvements, assist in automation efforts to drive efficiency initiatives, and support scale within the quote-to-cash cycle as necessary.Train and mentor staff members in the order management, billing, and collections teams.Develop, monitor, and report on key order, billing, and collection metrics to Accounting & Finance leadership.Oversee month-end close and annual financial audit of the accounts receivable areas through timely completion of assigned journal entries and account reconciliations within the billing and collections team.Perform month-end reconciliations of relevant financial data throughout the QTC process and partner with key stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.Create effective documentation to enable effective staff training in key processes supporting the billing, collections, and order management functions.Skills We're Looking For10+ years of Software / SaaS experience in Deal Desk, Order Management, Billing, and Accounts Receivable, including at least 5 years of managerial experience.Experience with a high-growth SaaS company and a focus on systems and tooling.Meticulous and well-organized. You strive for precision and thrive in an environment of changing processes, working with multiple data sources, and driving multiple tasks to completion.Passionate about process, continuous improvement, and leveraging technology.You have strong verbal and written communication skills. Your approach is clear, thoughtful, and service-oriented.Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership over your work and that of the team.You approach new learning experiences with confidence and curiosity.You value working together and how you can contribute to the goals and success of the team and company.
