YesResponsibilities:Administer nursing services in the center.Direct, plan, and coordinate service activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel.Interpret center policies and regulations to nursing personnel and ensure compliance.Analyze and evaluate nursing services to improve quality of customer care.Ensure the provision of in-service training programs for nursing personnel.Develop and implement philosophy, objectives, policies, and standards of nursing practice.Monitor nursing care to ensure customers are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect.Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for the nursing department.Complete daily rounds to observe customers and assess nursing needs.Review nursing progress notes for accuracy and descriptiveness.Work with the Administrator to develop and control the nursing department's budget.Maintain public and professional relationships, including community and physician services.Provide direction to nursing staff through various communication methods.Develop short and long-range plans for the nursing department.Serve on committees to evaluate activities and recommend changes in operations.Participate in customer assessments for admission regarding care needs.Coordinate infection control procedures and ensure staff training.Make recommendations for nursing care equipment and supplies.Notify attending physician and family of significant health changes.Ensure implementation and periodic review of customer Care Plans.Coordinate nursing services with other departments.Ensure all Physician Orders are followed as prescribed.Document and report incidents according to policies and regulations.Determine staffing needs for the Nursing department.Coordinate nursing department schedules and recruit personnel.Evaluate nursing staff performance and provide counseling as needed.Ensure safety and compliance with health and safety codes.Put Customer Service First and ensure high-quality service.Perform other duties as requested.Skills and Certifications:Current TX RN license required.Ideal Candidate:At least 5 years nursing experience in the SNF setting and at least 3 years in Management.Additional Information
