$21/hrJob Summary:Contributes to the execution and development of external donor communication for the Development & Communications, coordination of constituent data management. Responsibilities include updating database, pulling mailing lists, and meeting department reporting needs to ensure constituents receive engagement and stewardship materials for effective relationship building. All Development staff are expected to assist with the execution of the annual development plan to support meeting the annual organizational budget.Essential Functions:Support Development Coordinator as backup for role.Maintains Constituent Relationship Management database (Donor Perfect Online – DPO) and updates all relevant donor information.Process donations, generate and track tax receipts and acknowledgment letters and transmit all required data and backup material to the Accounting/Finance Department.Work across multiple departments to gather information to meet LIC donor stewardship standards.Supports Volunteer Coordinator in data and email management of Volunteer data and communications database (Volunteer Matrix).Support collection and maintenance of activities including volunteer schedule and activation, food drives, and other data collection as appropriate.Supports Food Drive Coordinator in data and email management as assigned.Responds to inquiries and maintain relationships with donors regarding gift/volunteer history and acknowledgments.Manage mail and shipping of LIC Development/Communications materials including stewardship/purchases/gift items to donors.Generates DPO reports as necessary.Assist with donor identification, prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship as appropriate.Assist VP for Development & Communications as necessary.Attends events and meetings on behalf of LIC as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent data entry and typing skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education and Experience:High School Diploma/GED and two years of professional work experience or a BS/BA in English, Communications, Public Relations, or related fieldFamiliar with DPO, or other CRM databasesPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.Long Island Cares embraces a philosophy that recognizes and values diversity.If interested, please complete the form and attach your resume and cover letter.
