VP, Quality, Risk Management candidate needed for large healthcare organization.

Must be an RN, BSN with strong hospital experience and a steady work history.

As a member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for leading the clinical quality division, including clinical quality improvement, measurement, accreditation, patient safety, infection control, risk management, and the peer review process. Lead and direct the hospital-wide and medical staff performance improvement program. Plan, coordinate, and organize the organization's accreditation services/activities to assure continual readiness status with all regulatory agencies, including the Joint Commission, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, and Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Oversee areas of responsibility to assure smooth operations and continuous improvement. Ensure processes are in place to monitor and validate the safe provision of quality and safety, patient-focused, outcomes-based, and cost-effective medicine in the hospital setting. Manage and report performance improvement data to hospital and corporate leaders. Facilitate cooperative and collaborative relationships among departments and with physicians and external agencies to ensure effective patient outcomes. Promote evidence-based practice and the culture of safety. Assure the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes, ensuring a constant patient focus.

Minimum Requirements:

RN with a minimum of 3 to 5 years recent acute hospital experience in an equivalent position (quality/performance improvement/case management/accreditation) with current knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS regulations and understanding of current trends in quality, performance improvement, case management, patient safety, and infection control. Previous management experience required and 3 years of PI, statistical concepts and data management experience preferred.
