6-12 MonthsJob Responsibilities:This job contributes to Client success by completing assigned projects and tasks that support successful execution of global product and equipment development initiatives and programs.Models and acts in accordance with Client guiding principles.Summary of Key Responsibilities:Works closely with R&D engineers and technicians to perform advanced troubleshooting and failure analysis of prototype hardware, test fixtures, and precision mechanical or electromechanical sub-components.Supports engineering by performing complex tasks that involve modifying, fabricating, assembling, testing, evaluating, and programming mechanical or electromechanical devices, and determining improvements.Works from sketches and verbal instructions where processes, materials, layout, types of components, piece parts, and dimensions may not always be completely specified.Evaluates and suggests changes to designs, materials, and methods.Sets up and executes complex laboratory testing, develops and reviews protocols and methods, analyzes, verifies, and records data, writes test summary reports, and discusses results.Operates computers to perform data analysis, interprets test data, and may modify test plans and setups based on intermediate results.May document and maintain complex engineering drawings.Often works independently with minimal guidance.Maintains a detailed engineering notebook.Lab Management:

Maintains general cleanliness and orderliness of labs and mock-up areas, orders, tracks, and stocks parts, materials, supplies, plans lab and equipment operation, maintains calendars for resource utilization.Administrative Support:

Monitors instrumentation and equipment calibration and maintenance programs, maintains lab files and reports, ships, receives, and inventories experimental equipment and products.Qualifications

Summary of Experience:Hardware troubleshooting and repair: 5 years.Equipment or product development: 5 years.Bench top and laboratory experimental design and execution: 5 years.Laboratory and equipment operation, calibration and maintenance: 5 years.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to organize information, work independently, and contribute as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.Laboratory experimentation skills including measurement, reporting, data acquisition systems, data analysis, and processing.Ability to use laboratory instrumentation and analytical equipment.Knowledge of scientific principles, food microbiology, and engineering.Familiarity with CAD packages and 3D solid modeling.Additional Information
