Seeking a nurturing and patient individual interested in supporting young children and their families, and excels in establishing meaningful connections. The individual will have an educational background in Child Development or Early Childhood Education. This individual will document and implement in-home, individualized curriculum for young children and their primary caregivers. They will support parents/caregivers in thriving in their roles as their children’s first and most important teachers, and support holistic development across domains. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate home-based activities following the Parents as Teachers (PAT) curriculum.Schedule and conduct 90-minute weekly home visits for each parent and child; schedule make-up visits when visits are canceled.Work collaboratively to provide children with group socialization experiences in conjunction with peers and supervisors.Participate in on-going trainings and staff development provided by the Ounce, Casa Central Education Coordinators, and other consultants, as well as completing online trainings and attending workshops and conferences.Complete screenings to assist in identifying children with special needs and support process of necessary referrals, including meaningful inclusion of children with disabilities and diverse learning needs in all program activities.Assess and assist with children’s transition from Early Head Start to Head Start or Head Start to Kindergarten.Work on other Adhoc projects as assigned by the Home-Based Program Director.For a full description of the Home Visitor position, please click here to find all job descriptions in alphabetical order.Qualifications
