Date Posted: July 30, 2024Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP is seeking a Legal Assistant/Legal Secretary with two to four years of litigation experience to join our growing Denver office and become an integral part of the firm's administrative and legal support team. This position performs a wide variety of administrative tasks while demonstrating the ability to exercise good judgment, multi-task, and meet deadlines.Ideal candidates are self-starters who can work independently and as part of a team, are highly organized, and detail oriented. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat is required.Initially the new hire will be asked to work in the office Monday through Friday, but once the tasks and responsibilities are learned, a hybrid schedule will be possible. Three days in the office and two days remote. Our office is in downtown Denver with access to public transportation and nearby parking facilities. Employees are also eligible to enroll in the 401(K) Profit Sharing Plan, which includes employer contributions.The anticipated salary range for this position is based on a 35-hour per week schedule as well as experience; salary range of $50,000 to $58,000, annually.Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Download digital files and save in the appropriate client matter folders in the document management system (NetDocs) and network drives;Coordinate e-filing in state and federal court, including gathering exhibits, preparing the Table of Contents and Table of Authorities;Update and maintain physical files;Prepare legal documents including formatting, proofreading, making revisions and finalizing;Save documents in document management system (NetDocs);Assist with preparing expense reports for attorneys;Maintain printers and copier, including filling with paper, clearing jams and basic troubleshooting;Order and maintain office and kitchen supplies;Collaborate with Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego Legal Assistants to provide support to attorneys across the firm;Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:Ability to work in the office Monday through Friday initially and then move to hybrid schedule; 3 days in office and 2 days remoteStrong technology skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat ProAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writingStrong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentAbility to prioritize and manage multiple assignments under time pressureAbility to take initiative and follow through on projectsAbility to perform at high levels and successfully adapt to changing priorities and working demandsEducation/Experience/Certifications:Minimum AA degree; Bachelor’s degree desirable;Two to four years of litigation legal assistant experience; andPrevious experience working in a law firm, strongly preferredQualified candidates are asked to submit a resume and cover letter summarizing your work history to HR@nicolaidesllp.com.
